Wow, how many of us have a large, crazy family? How many military get really excited when we travel to a family reunion a few states away?
We just had one Saturday and Sunday. What I like about the conversation at such a place/event (we had it at a lodge where my cousin is a member) is that people already know I am a Christian so I can talk naturally, from the heart, about that. My relatives are probably not all saved. They run the gamut from my uncle's wife, who writes and teaches Bible studies, to several cohabiting couples. And we all know, with family, we love them all because we all know our family's own level of craziness!
I did a throwback to my grandma's famous family reunions by setting up a baked potato bar and cooking the potatoes in the bonfire. I was coached by a couple of cousins who have done it and it went fabulously. I will always do that in the future.
Noel discovered a great local bagel place in Grand Rapids where we picked up "the freshest" bagels for Sunday morning breakfast, so he got to be a hero, too.
So much family fun!
That sounds wonderful, Mary! So glad you were able to go!! God’s Word (and witness) is not going to return void!! 💕
Did Joey come, happy you and Noel enjoy yourselfs
My grandma was one of 14 children in Bluefield, West Virginia. Noel and I only ever made one of their huge West Virginia reunions, right before that generation stopped having them. Now Grandma’s children have been taking up their own banner!
So glad you are enjoying yourself 😊
