We had 10 men work together tonight getting all the ceiling and door facings removed in the executive hallway and side entrance hallway. I am so proud of our guys who work so willingly. Tomorrow from 4-8pm, we will start installing insulation and getting ready to paint. God bless all of you.

The staff moved the church vehicles off the parking lot to get ready for the snow plowers. We are trying not to drive on it before the plowers come. Should be ready for Sunday services.

Our missionary, Amanda Baker, departs London this morning at 10:50am EST on her way home for furlough meetings over the next four months. She should arrive in Norfolk between 11pm and midnight tonight. Pray for a smooth timely flight. We are very excited to see her.

When arriving at the hospital Thursday morning (8am), my sinus rhythm was still normal as it had been for the last eleven days. They determined I did not need the procedure and sent me home. The doctors added a medicine to help keep my heart in rhythm. Praise the Lord for answered prayer!

Pacita and Kevin Labre departed for Dubai yesterday and arrived safely today. Bon’s surgery was successful, and he will begin his recovery. Praise the Lord for His watchcare in the skies and in the operating room.

While in Dubai, Bon Labre was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm and will have surgery tomorrow. Pacita and Kevin are booking flights trying to arrive to be with him. Please pray for the successful brain surgery and quick recovery. His wife and son will accompany him on the return trip when he is clear

Eight men came tonight to continue the work on the church hallways. Several of them worked most of the day beginning early in the morning and stayed until 8:30pm. A Memorial Service for Barry Phillips, Grace Phillips son, will take place at 3pm at Providence Baptist Church in Currituck, NC. George had another episode of becoming unresponsive on Wednesday, February 5. He was stabilized, taken to the ER, and finally was admitted to the Heart Hospital on Friday. Tests are being run to determine the cause of these episodes. Please pray for Mary Jo and George.

Amanda arrived in Norfolk last night around 10:45pm. Some were concerned about her flying near the time of the Reagan Airport crash, but she flew out of JFK in New York. Thanks for all your prayers.

Work on the Jones Room began on Saturday, January 18. The old ceiling and entry doors were taken out and new insulation installed. Now the drywall work begins. Soon we will be painting and installing the new ceiling grid and tiles.

With the warmer weather coming in this weekend and the snow all off the sidewalks and parking lot, the OWLS will have a good day for our Annual Birthday Party this Sunday (1/26) after the Morning Service. The snow amounts ended up being much less than what was forecast. The lot and sidewalks are basically clear now and any residual snow will melt this afternoon as temperatures reach around 40. We will not need to shovel for this storm. Thanks for being willing to help.
