Have you all been noticing a hunger for the Lord, for the Word, for something bigger than this crazy old world among the people you meet every day?

I have. And I have been noticing a new boldness to fulfill the Great Commission, too. (tap to read the rest).

Twice recently on Jeopardy, including last night, the winning contestant thanked his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

The father of the teen boy stabbed to death at a track meet this week said he could not make it through this horrific situation without Jesus and forgave the boy who murdered his son.

The father of the Delta pilot who perished in the Potomac in January gave testimony on worldwide news services that his son believed in Jesus Christ and is now in heaven.

For us, something happened at work recently that has allowed me about 30 opportunities to give a gospel witness. God just opens a door and I go through it. And, to make sure we all understand, it is completely possible to do all of one’s work, volunteer for extra assignments, and still have five minutes a day to quietly share the gospel with someone who walks by your desk and says something that flings a door straight open. The balance of being an exemplary employee but also letting Christ’s light shine through us. Which, of course, will be watched by every person to whom we witness at work because they daily spend hours with us and can note any inconsistencies!!!

I have recently been pondering the Great Commission again and seeing that it says “every creature” in Mark 16:15. No restrictions. We all are commanded to go. We are commanded to go to everybody.

What a giant task, eh?
