I read every word of this today! Practical advice on how we care for our elderly parents and members while training each subsequent generation to do the same.
COVID (and Michigan’s Governor) kept me away from my mom’s decline into dementia from early 2020 till August 2021, two months before she died. I will forever be grateful to my dad and siblings for creatively staying close to Mom in those last two years, even during a complete facility lockdown when a caregiver brought her on a patio and they stood outside a fence with a long plastic arm so she could hold a “hand.”
Very true commentary. Thank you for sharing.
