Do you have a favorite memory from Christmases past of starting an unusual custom that gave you great joy? I was just reminiscing about this topic on a friend's Facebook page when I remembered this:
Back in the days of our homeschooling co-op, we divided up responsibilities for our big Christmas party. I headed up the collection of Baby Jesus gifts that we brought to our local Crisis Pregnancy Center. Instead of buying for each other, all the families bought new baby clothes, diapers, etc. for the moms who chose life and could not afford baby things. We would place them under the tree as though they were gifts for Baby Jesus Himself, explaining that

He said as we did this to help the poor, we did it as unto Him. There would be mountains of presents. One of my favorite memories is having so many presents in the back of my car one year that I had to crowd Joey in for the delivery run to the Center.
